The project aims to create a sustainable transformation system that is systematically integrated in the company through technological and management changes. The system will consist of a sustainability solutions curriculum, a sustainability readiness diagnostic tool and a sustainability plan.
The project partners are developing a digital sustainability tool that will have a data storage system in the cloud. Software designed specifically for manufacturing companies will facilitate data collection, generate a dashboard with key indicators and analytics, and generate a report that will answer corporate governance, finance, social and environmental responsibility questions raised by stakeholders.
The partners of the project are scientific institutions in Greece and Germany, a center of competence for smart production in Lithuania and a participant in the green technology ecosystem in Bulgaria, as well as a production company piloting the solutions developed by the consortium. This strong consortium has joined forces to prepare a sustainability training program, train people in the manufacturing sector, and develop guidelines for companies to develop and implement a sustainability strategy within their company. Finally, the digital tool being developed will show the company’s current situation after data entry, and changes will be visible as new data is entered. The software used together with the training and guidelines for the implementation of the sustainability strategy form the basis for the green transformation of manufacturing companies.
